What is the WACE?
The Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) is the certificate students work towards in Years 11 and 12 in WA. Students studying ATAR courses sit external WACE exams at the end of Year 12, and every student also needs to meet the literacy and numeracy standard, usually shown through the Online Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (OLNA).
Who is WACE tutoring for?
Year 11 students starting their ATAR or General courses, Year 12 students preparing for school assessments and the WACE exams, and students working towards the OLNA literacy and numeracy standard.
What we help with
- English: English ATAR and Literature, from text analysis to essays
- Mathematics: Mathematics Applications, Methods and Specialist
- OLNA: reading, writing and numeracy skills
- School assessments: understanding the task, planning and revising
- WACE exams: revision plans, past papers and exam technique
How WACE support works at Success Tutoring
Every senior student is studying their own courses, so our tutors work on the work students have from school. Each week, students bring what they are studying and what is coming up, and their tutor helps them understand it, practise it and stay ahead of deadlines.
Why choose Success Tutoring for the WACE?
Built around school. We work on your child’s own courses and assessments.
Steady, not last-minute. Regular sessions keep students on top of the work all year.
Less stress. A plan and steady progress make exam season far more manageable.
