What is the VCE?
The Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) is the certificate Victorian students complete in Years 11 and 12. Most subjects are studied as Units 1 and 2, then Units 3 and 4. In Units 3 and 4, results combine school-assessed coursework (SACs) with end-of-year exams, and students’ study scores are used to calculate their ATAR. An English subject is compulsory.
Who is VCE tutoring for?
Students starting Units 1 and 2 who want a strong foundation, and students in Units 3 and 4 preparing for SACs and exams. The support is built around each student’s subjects and goals.
What we help with
- English: text responses, analysing argument, creative and comparative writing
- Mathematics: General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics
- SACs: understanding the task, preparing, and reviewing practice responses
- Exams: revision plans, practice exams and exam technique
- Study skills: organisation, time management and consistent revision
How VCE support works at Success Tutoring
In Years 11 and 12 every student is studying their own subjects, so our tutors work on the work students have from school. Each week, students bring what they are studying and what is coming up, and their tutor helps them understand it, practise it and prepare for their next SAC or exam.
Why choose Success Tutoring for the VCE?
Built around school. We work on your child’s own subjects and SACs, not generic material.
Steady, not last-minute. Regular sessions keep students on top of the work all year.
Less stress. A plan and steady progress make exam season far more manageable.
