What is the QCE?
The Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) is the certificate Queensland students work towards in Years 11 and 12. In most General subjects, students complete three internal assessments and one external exam in Year 12, and their results in eligible subjects are used to calculate their ATAR.
Who is QCE tutoring for?
Year 11 students settling into senior subjects, and Year 12 students preparing for internal assessments and external exams. The support is built around each student’s subjects and goals.
What we help with
- English: analytical and persuasive responses, creative writing and exam responses
- Mathematics: General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics
- Internal assessments: understanding the task, planning, drafting and revising
- External exams: revision plans, practice papers and exam technique
- Study skills: organisation, time management and steady revision
How QCE support works at Success Tutoring
Every senior student is studying their own subjects, so our tutors work on the work students have from school. Each week, students bring what they are studying and what is coming up, and their tutor helps them understand it, practise it and stay ahead of deadlines.
Why choose Success Tutoring for the QCE?
Built around school. We work on your child’s own subjects and assessments.
Steady, not last-minute. Regular sessions keep students on top of the work all year.
Less stress. Understanding the work and having a plan makes Year 12 far more manageable.
