NAPLAN (the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy) is a national assessment that students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 sit each year. It covers four areas: reading, writing, conventions of language (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and numeracy. The tests are held in March.
